FAQ

There is no formal process in joining Cru. Everyone is welcome, whether or not you grew up going to church or are just wanting to know more about God. You can attend our weekly meeting on Thursday nights, or you can also attend a small group study by simply showing up. Students who choose to attend regularly will find meaningful community. If you want to give us your contact information to contact you this fall, please fill out contact form.
The best thing is to encourage them to fill out their information on our Contact page. Either a staff person or student leader will contact them in the first few weeks of school. You can also let them know they are welcome to just attend our weekly meeting.
Our Facebook Page is our official public presence on Facebook. It is visible to everyone so anyone can find us and become a fan so they can get updates from us. Our Facebook Group is for current students involved in Cru to be able to share and communicate with each other on a smaller scale. If you are a current Cal Poly student and want to join, you can simply request to join or ask someone involved in Cru to send you a request to join. The algorithms for what shows up on your feed are different in Groups than for Pages. If you join a group, you are more likely to see updates from the group in your news feed. On the other hand, if you become a fan of a Facebook page, you are less likely to see many of those updates in your personal Facebook feed. However, you can visit the Facebook page anytime you like to find out what is happening in Cru.
There are few ways you can find out what is happening. One way is to check our Google calendar. You can also Like our Facebook page where we post our latest events.
No, it's never too late! You can contact us or just find a Bible study time that fits your schedule and just show up. We'll be happy to meet you.
We have partnerships with many churches in the area, and we encourage local church attendance and membership. Cru meetings and Bible studies are not a replacement to involvement in a local church.
Fill out the form on the Contact Us page. Or you can join the Facebook Group and post a message. For a list of churches go to our Church page
We don’t have anyplace to formally set up roommate situations. If you are a freshman or transfer we do encourage you to live in the dorms and get involved in a Bible Study to find Christian community. If it is mid-year you can start attending weekly meetings and get to know some other people in the group and start asking around for the following year. You can also join the Cal Poly Cru Facebook Group and post a message.
